1975 THUNDERBIRD Co-Editor: Treasurer: — Jerry Birnbaum Rosanne Spindler Advisor: Scott E. Hammond WE, the Senior Class, of 1975, dedicate this, our annual, to MISS CINDY ALBY. She has been our English Teacher for three years, our Speech teacher, our class play director, our confidant and our friend. We take this opportunity to thank her for her untiring work, for her unselfish willingness to listen to us, for her sparkling enthusiasum for life. THANK YOU, MISS ALBY!! Class History In the fall of 1963, fifty tearfilled boys and girls left home to go to school for the first time. Now looking back, we have had many sad, but happy times together. Some of us have gotten a bit taller or a little smarter, but most of all the greatest of friends. We were the first class to enter kindergarten in the new school. One highlite of kindergarten was show and tell. Everyone seemed to have a bigger and better story to tell than the other. Mrs. Hurlbut had a few minor problems with wet pants and alot of tears, but she managed to send us on. In first grade we still had our idiot mittens and our big, black writing pencils. Pat Sullivan proposed to Ellen Nigg and she accepted. Beside the usual mischief, nothing else happened, so on we went! Returning in August, the majority of us had cowboy boots. We started a new game-kicking each other in the shins. The boys were still running from the girls and dodging all the kisses. In May we were set free !!! In third grade ALL the girls were wearing dresses. What happened since then? Time sure flies when you are having fun. In the fourth grade many of the noise-makers became intellectuals. What do you expect from coping the dictionary?? Moving right along . . . Fifth grade started out with Smile, even if it kills you! Remember Gene making Mrs. McDonald cry, then she sat on a pie. DeAllyn Christensen stole the show by throwing up on Mrs. Zinter's lap!! We held up the tradition of studing Greek Mythology and Mt. Everest. Remember all the good times in square dancing?? During art we used watered down glue and metracal cans. Sixth grade passed fast. Hurray! ! We are in high school. We chose Pat Sullivan for pres.; Bruce Roark-v.p. and Andi Bartz as sec.-tres. Representing the class on the student council was Debbie Dew. Of course, we all ran down the halls and some- times held on to hands. Eighth grade found us playing Kiss or Kill (our Number One game) at our class party. Bob Metz guided our class as Pres.; Don Appel-v.p. and Tim Agar as sec. -tres. Bruce Roark was our student council member. We had good times in Mrs. Nudell's class. Armina Colago and Don Christensen received the 8th grade American Legion Award. As ninth graders we chose Kay McCaskell and Andre Grubb for our Homecoming attendants. Pres. Don Christensen, with the aid of Tim Nigg-v.p. led us through our freshman year. We chose Dave Kallstrom for se. -tres., because of his neat handwriting !! Student council member for the year was Don Appel. Remember Kim Anderson strolling thourgh the boy's locker room and someone running BARE! ! Leading us through our sophomore year was Dave Kallstrom; Marlene Reinart-v.p. and Ellen Nigg sec. tres. Armina Colago and Bruce Roark were our student council members. Remember all the times Mr. Dittbemer sent debbie to sit in the hall?? Representing the sophomore class at the Homecoming activities were Pat Sullivan and Andi Bartz. Don Appel and Marlene Reinart were chosen Prom host and hostess. We hit our junior year, lead by pres. Debbie Dew; Don Christensen-v.p.; Andi Bartz sec. and Ellen Nigg tres. Jon Griebel and Marlene Reinart kept us informed on the happenings from the student council. It was a time of sadness, for we lost one of our classmates, Donald Meyer in an automobile accident. Everyone worker hard on our Prom, with the theme being Colour My World . Our class play, under the direction of Miss Alby, was You Were Bom on a Rotton Day . The honor of Homecoming attendants were bestowed upon Don Appel and Ellen Nigg. Debbie Dew and Don Christensen were chosen girl and boy Stater. Does anyone remember the party after Prom??? Now we are MIGHTY SENIORS ! !! Our class is led by Ellen Nigg-pres.; Marlene Reinart-v.p.; Cindy Hoffman- sec. and Rosanne Spindler-tres. Student council members are Jerry Birnbaum and Dave Kallstrom. We chose Cindy Hoffman, Ellen Nigg, Marlene Reinart, Mark Baer, Mike Hansen and Bob Metz for Homecoming Candidates. Cindy and Bob were chosen as King and Queen to reign over the Homecoming festivities. Our class colors are navy blue and silver. Class flower is a blue tinted carnation with silver glitter. Class motto— We Know Not What the Future Holds, but We Know Who Holds the Future . Through the years we have had many kids joining us and now we are finishing our high school years with forty- two. Here is a list of all the kids that have been with us through the years. Remember . . . Larry Biel, Muriel Hammersten, Sheila Jarman, Cheryl Krone, Terry Nicholauson, Donald Meyer, Norwood St. John, Kim Schmidt, Frances Westlund, Terry Lester, Mike LaBatte, Quenton Spider, Mark Pistorius, Darrel Dobbs, Virginia Schwagel, Claudia Hilden, Rodney Aske, DeAllyn Christensen, Andre Grubb, Bill Raw, Michelle Thompson, Jon Griebel, Terry McCaskell, Scott Nichalauson, Carla Eckert, Terry Wilson, Marie Hanes, Jim Moeller, June Paul, Douglas Oletzke, Donna Lotzer and Kevin Peterson. Now closing our Senior year on May 23, 1975, we say good-bye to all the faculty and underclassmen with this thought in mind, WE KNOW NOT WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS, BUT WE KNOW WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE. Each supplies a different pro- tein-mineral-vitamin combination to fortify grain and forage-for high production, good cow condi- tion and sustained milk flow. Each comes in appetizing crum- ble form-encourages each cow to eat an ample amount of properly fortified ration. I’ll show ’em to you—and Moor- Man’s wide choice of specialized Cow Power Feeding Programs. EDWIN H. JOHNSON BOX 505 R. RI ORTON VILLE, MN. Rev her up with Cow Power Feeding If we fired him, we could cut the price of our feed If we didn't worry so much about ingredient quality, we could make cheap feed. But only the rich could afford it. Low-grade ingredients and leftovers can t help turn your grain and roughage into meat, milk and eggs efficiently. So MoorMan “spear carriers” climb into each arriving shipment of raw materials to probe deep for samples. And those samples must pass test after test in our quality control laboratories before they can go into a Mintrate' or Premix-trate'. It’s easy to skimp on ingredients, but we’re not interested. Low price per ton for our products just isn't as important to a livestock or poultry raiser as low total feed cost. And you can keep the total low when you fortify grain and roughage with a high-quality, one-package MootMan combination of proteins, minerals, vitamins and other working ingredients. Do some figuring soon with your MoorMan Man... PH. 839-2654 MoorMan's Cow Power Feeding Program is designed to help your cows make efficient—and profitable—use of grain and roughages. And it helps you take full advantage of the bred-in milk-producing power of your cows. To do her best, a cow needs enough of the right kind of fuel to operate her milk-making motor at the speed for which it's built. So Cow Power Feeding emphasizes quantity—feeding an ample amount of a properly fortified ration. It also emphasizes quality— fortifying farmgrown feeds with highly concentrated MoorMan's. Mintrate- and Premix-trate- for Dairy Cows are powerful combi- nations of high-quality working ingredients needed to help cows use grain and roughage efficiently.
