I, Diane Kuschel, will to Mark Schaunaman the editorship of next year’s annual. Along with it goes all the excitement, problems, headaches, and my empty Excedrin bottle - which I will refill before giving it to him. We, Michelle Lamers and Joan Skjonsberg, will to Joyce Hedrick and Patsy Zabel our ability to refrain from the opposite sex! Also, cheer-up the class of 74 for us, because we know you'll be sad without the Great Class of 73. I, Kevin LeClair, being 1 of 38 great seniors, will to Vicki Baer my ability to keep calm, qu- iet, and unobjective to the many pros and cons of this school. I, Keith Lewandowski, will my traction bed in room 107 at the Graceville Hospital to Mark Miller for 4 months of his senior year - if he makes it that far! I, Mike Lord, will my '60' Chevy to sister, Sara. I, Dixie Jean McKee, will to Bruce Spindler my position and ability as 'head' fryer on Wednes- day nite. I, Denise Mollenhoff, will to Cheri Toelle my ability to play the trombone. This great ability of mine includes the playing of one scale. I’m sure this will help her a great deal! I, Gwen Nigg, being of sound mind and beautiful body, will my picture of Mike to Pasty Zabel. I, Chad Peterson, will to Becky Domarus my ability to pull evil deeds and never get caught or suspected! I, Bob Raw, will Terry Witte my great driving ability and all the luck he can get because he’ll need it. I, Georgia Reed, being of sound mind and beautiful body, will to Mary Birnbaum the Gut-Mo- bile, in hopes that someday she will have something better to drive. I, Kathy Reineke, being of sound mind, will to Mark Miller my ability to have a good time at New Effington and still remain stone sober. I, Ramona Schildt, will to Marilyn McLane my place down at the colesium - the will power to refrain from alcoholic beverages and also not to forget all the hard work we put in at the log cabin. Right Marilyn!! I, Leon Schwagel, being a fully educated senior, will all of my 'smarts' to Mark Schwagel, in hopes that he will make it throughout his senior year, also. I, David Selvage, will Louis Lanie my height. I, Paul Serocki, being of stable mind, will my body to Mark Schaunaman so he may display it as a sex symbol. I, Don Sykora, will to Joe Reinart my hunting ability - not to shoot holes in cars. I, Jan Ulferts, will to the whole junior class, my ability to get along with the SUPERINTEN- DENT!!! 15

CLASS HISTORY In the year of 1962, forty-four scared little students entered the big, white school house for the first time. Now looking back, we've had many sad, but happy times. We have all gotten a bit smarter, become great athletes, singers, and many more things, but most of all the great- est of friends. First grade was really something! But we returned in '63 for second grade and Mike Lord, Pam Peickert, April Aske, Delton Nickolison, Darla Kronke, and Delaine Despiegler joined us. But Jan McAlister, Wayne Borckellnck, and Craig Ziemer hadn't returned with us. This was our first year in the new school building. Third grade Delton Nickolison, Joe Reinart, and Charles James left us. Randy Alberts joined us. We think we learned everything there was to learn about math. Moving right along we went to fourth grade. LaVonne Krone, Darla Kronke, Craig Eckert, Mike Lord, and Delaine Despiegler left us. But Kathy Madison went with us to the fifth grade. Remember Mr. Goodhart's paddle wheel? Fifth grade was sorta the usual, no one came and no one left. Remember in sixth grade? Mrs. LeCuyer and her Greek Mythology? And when Otto Piechow- ski flooded the sink? Man, what a riot! Mark Vosberg and Nancy Neubert joined us. Wow! We're in seventh grade now. Remember Mr. Moench throwing erasers at us? Marvin Witte joined us this year. Kathy Madison hadn't returned. Our officers were Pres. - Chad Pe- terson, V.P. - Diane Kuschel, Sec. -Treas. -Jill Hansen. Dixie McKee was on Student Coun- cil. In eighth grade we all had crushed on the older kids. That sure was some grade. Mark Vosberg hadn't returned this year with us, but Dave Selvage came to take his place. The officers this year were Pres. - Kevin LeClair. V. P. - Nancy Neubert, and Otto Piechowski was on the Stu- dent Council. Ninth grade went alright, but we couldn't believe we were in Senior High! We returned this year with the loss of Judy Hammerstein, Mary Pat Isaacson, Joyce Bennett, Nancy Neubert, and Otto Piechowski. Ourofficers were Pres. -Dixie McKee, V. P. - Judy Hansen, Sec. -Treas. - April Aske, and David Duffield was on the Student Council. Our Homecoming attendants were Tim Hoffman and Nancy Neubert. We started our Sophomore year missing Cheryl Hauder, but we had gained Jan Ulferts and Peter Bender. Our officers this were were Pres. - Rose Hoffman, V. P. - Tim Hoffman, Sec. -Treas. - Chad Peterson, and Kevin LeClair and Georgia Reed were on the Student Council. Our Home- coming attendants were Dennis Peterson and Dixie McKee. We started our Junior year missing April Aske and Paula Grimili. No one could believe we had made it this far! Mary Pat Isaacson, Joyce Bennett, A1 Grubb and Connie DeWald had joined us. Our Pres, was Cathy Thompson, V. P. - Gregg Christensen, and Sec. -Treas. - Dixie McKee. Our Student Council members were Leon Schwagel and Bob Gubka. Our Homecoming attendants were Bob Gubka and Diane Kuschel. It also brought prom! We chose Bridge Over Troubled Wa- ters . As this year ended we lost Peter Bender. We are finally Seniors after waiting for 12 years. It doesn't seem possible! Our senior Pres, was Tim Hoffman, V. P. - David Duffield, Sec.-Treas. - Joyce Bennett. Leon Schwagel and Rose Hoffman were our Student Council members. We started this year with the loss of Cathy Thompson, A1 Grubb, and Darrell Renville, but Mike Lord and Kathy Griebel joined us. Our Homecoming King and Queen were Kevin LeClair and Jill Hansen. Our candidates were Rose Hoffman, Tim Hoffman, Joyce Bennett, and Bob Gubka. Our class flower is a green tinted car- nation and our motto is In Ourselves Our Future Lies. As we think back it seems like it all happened only yesterday. In the future we '11 look back and remember the great times and the great friends we have made at Browns Valley High School! 17
