DEDICATION Being the first graduating class since the completion of the new high school, we, the class of 1969, dedicate this annual to our old high school. Our high school days have come and gone, But in our minds they still live on! Wefll always recall where we spent those years Good times, bad times, happiness and tears. The school was drab and it was old. But it kept us all within its fold. Even though the walls would creak. The floors were warped, the faucets leaked; The lights were dim, we couldn't see. The clocks would not run accurately; The bells it seems were always wrong, The radiators were never on. We got to know it very well, And got to like it really swell. Who cares if the place was long condemned, All of us knew it as a friend; We all thought it pretty cool, And we dedicate this annual to the old high school. So with a tear for the old and a smile for the new, we tuck our days in the old high school between the pages of our memories.

PRESENTATION This new edition of the Thunderbird has been published with but one objective: to capture a year between its covers. While we know that life at Browns Valley High is a multiple of realities which are too intangible to be related in black and white, perhaps in some small way we can preserve the friendships which we all hold so dearly. If this book will serve to bridge the past and bring to mind the priceless memories of joy and pleasures of the year just gone, it will have served its purpose. There are those without whose efforts this book, the Thunderbirds, would not have been possible. The staff would like to thank all of you.
