CLASS HISTORY During the school year of 1963-64, the mighty Freshmen class of B.V.H.S. elected their officers as follows: Presi- dent-Jake Thompson, Vice-President-Vicki Schwagerl, and Sec- retary-Treasurer-Joe Serocki. Jim Hoffman represented our class on the Student Council. School began on August 28 with a Freshmen class consis- ting of forty-one. Mary Nigg entered school in B.V. as a Freshman and Bob Melcher entered school on January 17, 1964. Ed Nettestad moved to Browns Valley from Fergus Falls, Minnesota and be- came one of the great forty-one Freshmen attending Browns Valley High. Our Homecoming attendants were Pat Rowland and Vince Smith. During our Sophomore year Jake Thompson was elected as our President, Jim Hoffman as our Vice-President, and Ginny Hansen as our Secretary-Treasurer. Ed Nettesatd and Vince Smith represented us on the Student Council. John Tracy left our class and on November 30, Silas Ortley enrolled as our thirty-ninth student in the Sophomore class. Our Homecoming attendants were Ginny Hansen and Ed Net- testad. During the 1965-66 school year we elected Greg Mutchler as President, Rick Schley as Vice-President, and Jim Hoffman as Secretary-Treasurer. Our Student Council representatives were Mike Domarus and Jerry Metz. Paulette Roark left our class during this school year. Christy Bigelow was chosen as our Girl State Represen- tative and Jim Hoffman as our Boy Stater. As Seniors, Carol Gettman and Kathy Plant left our class. A new student, Abigail Crawford, joined our class. Jim Hoffman was elected President; Vicki Schwagerl, Vice- President, and Kathy Dusing, Secretary-Treasurer. Mary Nigg was our Student Council President and Gloria Appel, Secre- tary-Treasurer . Our candidates for Homecoming festivities were: Queen Candidates-Gloria Appel, Kathy Dusing, and Christy Bigelow. King Candidates: Mike Domarus, Jim Hoffman, and Jake Thomp- son. Kathy and Jim were chosen to reign over the festivi- ties. Vicki Schwagerl was selected as our All-State represen- tative. Our concert band received Superior ratings at both District and State Music Contests. In November we exhibited our acting abilities in the Senior class play. Much hard work and devotion went into the play to turn out a fine performance. We closed our Senior year with thirty-nine very proud and eager young adults, ready to star in the lights of to- marrow's bright future.

CLASS WILL We the 1967 Senior Class of B.V.H.S., City of Browns Valley, County of Traverse, State of Minnesota, being of sound minds and memories not acting under fraud and duress do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say; Article I...Jeanie Meyen bequeaths her lovely, deep dimples to Bonnie Lewandowski• Jean doesn't think she needs them anymore because they've accomplished their purpose, right Jerry? Article II...I, Dave Agar, leave iny position as center on the football team to Mike Falking- ham. I hope his season will be as successful as mine. Article III...To Ron Skjonsberg, Greg Mutchler wills his Honda, Just in case Ron's is Junked for some unforseen reason. Article IV...Left to Eileen Sykroa is Sharon Anderson's and Abigail Crawford's quietness, in hopes that it will be put to use. Article V...T0 Jim Layden, Ed Nettestad wills his terrific physique to use in football. Article VI...I, Rick Schley, theoretically speaking of course, will my unusual sense of humor to Scott Beumer who thinks its great. Article VII...Glenn Dahl wants to will Donna Nudell the yellow Pontiac since he won't be around to use it much anymore. Article VIII...I, Vicki Schwagerl, leave my first chair in band to Barry Peterson; and I imagine he will be as sharp as I was. Article IX...To John Lynch, Cal Kallstrom and Neil Weeks leave their wrestling skills, hop- ing that he will attain the- status of state champion. Article X...Gary Dobbs and Ronnie Byman leave Mike Smith their ability to drive safely, as he has shown great promise. Article XI...Joann Foren leaves her enthusiasm in G.A.A. to Connie Dusing and Ember Ward, w who really get excited over a good game of dodge ball. Article XII,.,Frank Hein and Joe Serocki leave their parking space at Bud's to Dean Schwagel and Tom Sykora, but only is they know when to leave. Article XIII.,.Ginny Hansen bequeaths to Janet Hoffman the editorship of next year's annual. She hopes it won't be too much of a strain for Jan. Article XIV...I, Jerry Douglas, will my philosophizing ability to Keith Haggerty, who has already been taking lessons. Article XV...Pat Rowland's road map to New Effington will be handed down to Carolyn Marshall and Linda Zacharias, in hopes that they will not accidently stray to Sisseton. Article XVI...I, Marilyn Appl, will my bottle of auburn Clairol to Darlene Myhre. If you do it yourself, the color is so natural even your hairdresser won't know for sure. Article XVII...To Ron Birnbaum, Eugene Lehrke leaves his mechanical know-how so Ron can rev up” the cars at the garage. Article XVIII...Kathy Dusing doesn't wish to leave anything behind because she feels that everything she's got is needed, as she is Just begining to live. Article XIX...Vince Smith bequeaths his ability to ask intelligent, well-phrased questions to Charlene Birnbaum in hopes that she will use as little time as he did. Article XX...To Violet Grimli, Marie Spindler leaves her typing eraser from office practice providing she is conservative in its use next year. Article XXI...Jim Hoffman wills his wrestling ability to his cousin, Larry Judish, in hopes that he doesn't use it out of season. Article XXII...I, Paula Duffield, will my ability to have fun at dances to Mick Butala and Brent Smith, who are already getting into the swing of things. Article XXIII...To get them back to the right family, Mike Domarus leaves to Kathy Reed the fish-truck keys which he acquired last year. Article XXIV...Teresa Reineke leaves Rosella Reineke and Felicia Ortley her seat in F.H.A. hoping that they will be real ambitious next,year. Article XXV...To Ron DuMarce, Dick Schloe leaves his hunting skill. Of course it is to be used for stalking only four-legged animals. Article XXVI...Barb Smith bequeaths her two dented fenders to Renee Hennen so she won't have to go through the trouble of putting in her own. Article XXVII...I, Christy Bigelow, will my cheering talents; to K0K0 Westbrock my Jumping, to Judy Metz my yelling, and to Diane Hoffman my past experience. Article XXVIII...I, Pam Nigg, will my locks of hair to Sandy Lureen providing that she con- tinues to uphold the belief that ”blondes have more fun”. Article XXIX...To Pat Lubbers, Dave Ecker leaves the keys to a certain Ford station wagon. Providing he can come back and use it at any time. Article XXX...Mary Nigg is willing Sandy Grosenick her cheerfulness she has every morning, even though it may not be appreciated by Sandy's classmates. Article XXXI...To Don Johnson and Silas Ortley, Ron Ingemunson, Jerry Netz and Charles Mad- ison leave their height; hoping that, equally distributed, it will result in normal size. Article XXXII...Gloria Appel wills her ability to have fun, even on week nights, to Tom Agar during his Senior year. She hopes that this will keep him from studying too much. Article XXXIII...I, Jake Thompson, will my place in Agar's to Pat Domarus-the seat up by the ”good feeling” machine—the Juke box, of course.
