Beside teaching our Senior Social Class, he has established a Driver Training Course and is also head of the Athletic Department. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him and congratulate him for all the wonderful things he has done for our school during the past five years. Ingemunson, Pres. R. Kallstrom, V. Pres. K. Sykora, Sec. 6 Treas. In the fall of 1962, thirty-two freshly scrubbed, eager little Freshmen filed into the ninth grade room in B.V.H.S. After several weeks of confusion, we finally mastered our schedule. Our first duty as freshmen was to elect class officers. As a result, we chose the following: Gary Ingemun- son as President, Jeff Falkingham as Vice President, and Barb Anderson as Secretary. Jeff Falkingham represented our class on the Student Council. Homecoming Attendants were Carolyn Hansen and Jeff Falkingham. Towards the end of our freshmen year, Donald Peppersack left us. We began our Sophmore year with two less: Remona Kitto and John Tracy. During our Sophmore year, Douglas Mude also left us. Our sophmore class of- ficers were: Billy Appel.President; Janice Miller, Vice President; and Fran- ces Serocki, Secretary. Karen Sykora and Gary Ingemunson served on the Stu- dent Council. Sophmore Homecoming Attendants were Shirley Almquist and Bill Appe1. Diane Lord and Roy Pedersen left our class in our Junior year. Paul Piechowski joined our class. We chose Janice Miller as our President, Carolyn Hansen as Vice President, and Joan Smith as Secretary. Betti Peter- son and Gary Ingemunson were Student Council members from the Junior Class. The Juniors presented Father's Been to Mars as our Class Play. Deep Pur- ple was chosen as our Prom theme. Chosen as Homecoming Attendants from the Junior Class were Shirley Almquist and Roger Kallstrom. Karen Sykora and Leon Westbrock represented our class as Boy and Girl Staters. We started our 1964-65 school year with twenty-eight Seniors. The fol- lowing were our class officers: Gary Ingemunson, President; Roger Kallstrom, Vice President, and Karen Sykora, Secretary. Paul and Leon were chosen to represent the Seniors in the Student Council. Julie Reed and Leon Westbrock were chosen King and Queen by the Students of B.V.H.S. Concert Band Browns Valley High School Concert Band, under the direction of Mr. James Boullion, was awarded the Red River Cart for winning first place in the B Concert division of the Red River Exhibition at Winnepeg, Canada on June 20, 1964. There were eight bands entered in this division. The Valley band won first place honors when they played the following numbers: Bandology, Pageant, and Divertimento.
