Tobeck The 59-60 track season was a smashing success due to the efforts of the boys and their coaches, Mr, Lewis and Mr, Krystosek. Eight school records were broken: 440 Relay, 440 Dash, Shotput, High Hurdles, High Jump, Low Hurdles, Pole Vault, and Mile Run. Against rough competition from many larger schools, the B.V. boys totaled the most points in the Dragon Relays at Moorhead, and brought back the championship of this event. By the end of the season, the team also had become conference and B.V. triangular champs. Co-captains were Ray LeCuyer and Jerome Zacharias, both of whom are excellent trackmen. Zac competed in the state meet as a pole vaulter, and made a fine showing. Congratulations to the squad and the coaches for a tremendous season. SCHOOL RECORD BREAKERS 440 Relay Team: 48.3 sec. Zac then went on to the regional meet at Brain- ard where he won the championship, thus qualifying for the state tournament.
