CLASS PROPHECY 1967, Mr. Swenumson, at the close of hie teaching tern at Oxford Ohiv- picking up his wife and IXichess V at their Two Castle Mansion on in his 500-mile per hour atom-auto left to cross the famous Trans-At- Bridge starting at Liverpool, Ihgland and ending in New York City. On June 7, ersity and upon Downing Street lantic Floating After re-filling their atom-auto with atom-pills they continued their very long- planned Journey acrose the eastern states on the famous glass highway to the thriving metropolis of Browns Valley, Minnesota in the Upper Midwest. As they neared the large scenic city they sighted the world-wide famous Goette Construction Works. Irma re- ceived word of their coming over her radar set and was out to meet them when they ar- rived. With further conversation they learned the progressive Senior Class of 1947 had stayed in Browns Valley to promote the general welfare of this community. During the conversation, Irma received a telephone call from Mrs. Anna Dickinson, the wife of Donnelly Dickinson, a famous dairy farmer, the former being a classmate of Irma»6 Anna Grimli. As they left the Construction Works and approached the suburbs of Browns Valley, they 6aw the name Lehkre in large letters on a grain elevator. Pondering over the familiar name, Mr. Swenumaon wondered if it could be Art Lehkre, a former Janitor of the Browns Valley Public School. When he inquired as to who it was he was informed it was none other than Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lehkre, the latter being Beverly Oliver. Mr. Swan urn 8 on planned to do some fishing while on his trip to Browns Valley and so it was that when they went to the auditor s office for a fishing license who should they be greeted by than his private secretary, Delores Nigg, the auditor being James Schwagerl, of course. While Mr. Swenumson was applying for his fishing license the all-star champ of the Rhode-Island Reds Basketball Team, namely Wayland Reisdorf walked into the office to acquire a fishing license, also. Recognizing the Swenumsons he asked them to go fishing with him. Way land took Mr. Swenumson to the Gesterling Zooty-Suity Clothing Store, where Donald was proprietor, to select fishing clothes for Mr. Swenumson while Mrs. Swenumson went to the Fancy-Glancy Ladies Ready-to-Wear Shoppe. It was here that she was honored by having Maxine Andrews model all fishing jackets, pants, and boots. While peacefully (and unsuccessfully) fishing that afternoon, they heard a shrill scream and a splash. Turning quickly about they paddled over to an overturned boat and with a shock discovered an old student of Mr. Swenumson s-----Patty Block. The ac- cident occurred as her fiance, Manley Anderson, was trying to land a fish and tipped the boat. The Swenumsons offered to take them to town for dry clothes, but on the way were forced to stop because of a lack of fuel. Mr. Swenumson walked to the nearest farmhouse to phone for atom pills and found, to his astonishment, Mrs. Don Archer formerly Marjorie Ziemer. Marjorie phoned the head information clerk, Jane Dew. Jane told them she would send them a tow-car to bring then to town. When the car arrived, imagine their surprise, to find Audrey Falkingham at the wheel. She was now propri- etor of the famous Super-Service Pill Station. On reaching town they realized they had seen the whole Senior Class of 47 with the exception of Betty Lowry. When Audrey informed them that Betty now owned the Foxy Roxy Theatre, they hastened to the theater. After visiting with Betty, she called her chief usher, Jim Roark, to usher them to their seats. And so it was, that the Swenumsons completed their visit with the Senior Class of 47 and returned to their home on Downing Street with happy memories of their scenic Journey to the thriving little metropolis of Browns Valley.
