Freshmen are re quired to take American history,While sophomores or juniors take world history. The dreaded government is a requirement of seniors. Electives in the Social Studies depart- ment are Bible class and ethnic studies. Many students find Social Studies very helpful, even though they hate to admit it. a. Sophomores pose for camera. b. There are also two levels of reading reg ular reading and resource reading Grammar 1S of fered to juniors and seniors Other electives offered to upper classmen are Western llterature Shakespeare and Mythology Research lS offered but It requires much time and hard work Latin and Spanish 1 2 and 3 are the languages offered along with a course in Latin American studies 26
