First we elected two capable and willing sponsors, Mrs. Williams andMr. Culp, We have appreciated their efforts and interest. Hats off to both of you! Then we elected our candidate, jackie Dubose, for high school queen. During the fall season we sold football tags to make money for our class. Then we started to work in earnest by selling candy and soft drinks at the basketball games. We gave ourjunior Play on February 20. It was a big success, and was enjoyed by everyone. The cast of Aunt Tillie Goes To Town shall long be remembered. Compliment s go to them. Other uniors on committees supporting the play worked hard Plans were made for the junior Senior Banquet and Prom Both classes enjoyed this occasion be cause of the clever and unique theme carried out by the juruors The Homemaking Girls aided inthe banquet with their kind services The juniors e x hib xt e d their artistic talents with decorations for Baccalaureate Service and the Graduation Exercises The happiest moment of the junior year was the ordering of their class rmgs President johnny Winston Vice President Doyle Drake Secretary Mary Ch1ShOl!'I1 lx' WT3 fQQ Wil ff I XX..- xgxfhp .I I . The shining lights ofthe class stillwore the honors and dignities of grade school graduates, and they carried their honors grace- fully. As time went on, many fell by the way. Only the fittest survived, and these robust specimens appeared in the fall of '47, and manfully took up their burdens and began the triumphal march toward the goal of high school graduation. The class has initiativeg it has ideasg and it has mernbe r s who can carry out these ideas. They began to make other classes sit up and take notice by tieing with the Seniors of '48 in the decoration of the football goal posts. They hope to win more honors before their high school days are over. Their fun took the shape of parties, weiner roasts, f o otba ll games, and intellectual recreation. Eats, eats, and more eats has been their cry as their thoughts turned to a good time. -Nancy Wier- ,Q Pres1dent Graham Swain Vice President Tommy Crosslin Reporter Allie Belle Alexander Sec , Treasurer Dixie Brown Q' g - 1 -1' X,, 3 isf?Zg-fi 'Z--if' ,,.f-1 - - - f fl? ---, - ies, Z 'pl' 4 , ----- . . 11' 1 4 I A , 5 PQ x,.
