Ignorant Armies Clash By Night ' The first contingent of boys came scampering over around twelve PM. Although the col- umn of 100 was initially driven back by one fierce looking Freshman Week Committee member, they regrouped to attack again en masse. Evading the one flashlightwielding guard, they formed ranks on the Andrews terrace, and then racing around in a deft flanking maneuver, they lay seige to the yard. Here the valiant assault was delayed by the appearance of two angry upperclass Pembrokers. Growing more tired by the minute, the leaders attempted to rally their now depleted minions by some rhythmic changing. But this failed and the defeated forces slowly closed ranks, and stumbled sadly home with the consolation that they could enter the dorms as parietal guests in 3 days. BDH September 12, 1969
