LOS NOVIAS ESPANOLAS The Spanish Club with this inviting name is one of the largest on campus, having a membership of about thirty girls. The club meets once a month with the primary purpose of practicing Spanish conversation. There is much merriment when someone says, Let me present my skirt, or when at the table someone says, please pass the :ult- case. The officers are chosen from Spanish ll, although all girls acting on commit- tees are appointed from Spanish I. The traditional Spanish Queen is chosen and reigns over the festivals. Las Novias Espanolas has taken many enjoyable outings, such as going to dinner at the famous El Po-che under the sponsorship of Mrs. Smith. Mn. Smith TRIPLE TRIO A '11, 'Z V LAS NOVIAS ESPANOLAS Miss Endicott TRIPLE TRIO Nine young ladies who are adept at singing close three part harmony are selected each year from the members of the Senior Glee Club to compose the TRIPLE TRIO. This year the group has lent its talents, on several occasions, for our entertainment. Included in this year's schedule were the Christmas pro- gram and also the Spring Recital.

lUNIOR GLEE CLUB SENIOR Gu-:E CLUB Full merrily the lark doth sing and maketh glad the hearts of others. The Glee Club, under the direction of Miss La Vera Endicott, has brought about the fulfillment of the above quotation on our campus. This group of larks have entertained us at several school functions such as the Thanksgiving Chapel, the Christmas program, and the May Day celebration. Their versatile repertoire included l'landel's can- tata The Christmas Messiah and many other numbers with which they have participated in the California Association of Christian Schools Music Festival, musical programs at local churches, radio stations, and the Kiwanis Club. Miss Endicott IUNIOR GLEE CLUB Do-Re'Me-Fa-Sol were the first warblings of this younger set of Larks as they began to learn three part harmony, Their intensive practicing was rewarded by being able to par- ticipate in many school musical programs. DELTA SIGMA TOASTMISTRESS CLUB The Expression Class organized as the Toastmistress Club, patterned after the international organization with din- ner meetings once a month at which time members had practice in after din- ner speaking, impromptu speeches, toastmistress practice, etc. These meet- ings were thoroughly enjoyed and great improvement was noticeable as the members overcame their timidity. Besides sponsoring the Thanksgiving banquet, the girls spoke in chapels, assemblies, and worked diligently to eam their Toastmistress pins which were available only after members had attained their three hundred points for various campus services. Smith DELTA SIGMA Delta Sigma is the honor service club. open to members of the Toastmistress Club who have earned three hundred points for campus services. The cov- eted pins are worn only by girls whose conduct has been exemplary, and whose grades have been of B average. A little white envelope slipped under a door, set many a heart fluttering as the lucky recipient read the invitation that gave her the right to wear the pledge pin. After two probationary weeks, this pin was replaced by the Delta Sigma pin, providing she was able to pass the strenuous tests of the pledging requirements. The beautiful initiation ritual is given before the student body and friends, and is a high moment in a girl's life on the Brown campus. This year's pledges were Io Anne Statler, Norma Kreimerman, Hildegard Spahr with Celia Sod and Lucila Llau- sas as candidates for later pledging. TOASTMISTRESS CLUB
