BROXWN-LANIER f 19-OJ Lanier's mighy line, probably the strongest in state prep circles, shredded a good Brown team, l9-O. Penalties stalled the Macon boys in rolling the first half. However, on a blocked kick by james fTanlcJ Lawrence, Lanier soon scored, after twelve plays, with A. W. Johnson carrying it over from the one. Howard Leiter, on an end-around, ran 26 yards for the second touchdown, capping an 86 yard drive. Bud Brake. intercepting Pepper Rodgers's pass intended for Cecil Trainer set up the final score. He returned 12 yards to the Brown dl. ,Ioe Davis ran for 24 yards and, three plays later, scored from the one, with Buddy Griffin converting. BRC JVUN-C TKEEFI: Bobby Moore was the star of this Brown-O'Keefe gamevflagging allow kick, shaking oh' one tackler, and going all the way for 65-yards to score. Brown started early in the game. An O'Keefe fumble was recovered at the 13 by Cecil Trainer. Henry Smoak went for 8. Charles Brannon then made it a first down on the 2. Smoalc scored standing up. The Rebels went 69-yards for the third tally, with Trainers 21 yard end-around and Pepper Rodgerss passing, the main highlights. ln the fourth period, a pass interception set up the final score. Roy Hunt went for 14-yards on an end-around, john Kimbro went for ll, and Gene Kinard traveled the remaining 6-yards to score.
