RAIN, RAIN, The heat is on! BCHS Homecoming activities included a hall decoration contest, bon fire, parade, football game, pep assembly, and dance. During Homecoming week the halls were decorated, each class and some clubs built a float, and, school spirit was at a high. A pep assembly was held on Friday afternoon during which a tricycle race and soda drinking contest was held. Friday night the traditional snake dance and bon fire took place. A long train of students lead by the cheerleaders crossed the town spreading Hornet Fever. Everyone gathered around the fire at the fair grounds as Eric Kunkel threw a Wildcat into it. After the snake dance everyone was psyched for the big day ahead on Saturday. Unfortunately, the big day was a mess! Soaked floats and people marched on through the puddles and umbrellas were a common sight. The sun finally came out for the game against the Warsaw Wildcats. “The heat is on was the feelings of the team as they hit the muddy field, and it was also the theme of the Seniors' winning float. After a long hard battle, the Wildcats won the game with a 19-14 score. The long day ended with an enjoyable dance. Eric and Jill Anxious Hornets await the traditional burning of the opposing team’s mascot. 12 1986 — Hornet Snake Dance What are you up to Eric?
