f The students in Industrial Arts learn many things. Their first year is a mixture of Drafting, Woodworking, Electricity, and Metals. In the next three years they can get advanced knowledge in each of these areas. At the end of each year the student has finished products to show what they have learned. I hope this corner fits! Get it real smooth! What's in there? Measure it right!

Get the right amount. Mix it well. The Home Economics classes introduce the student to clothing construction, foods preparation, child care, home and money management, and consumer education. The following years go into more detail of these subject areas. The class also prepares the food for many of the functions that occur throughout the year at BCHS.

I've almost got it! The 1985-86 year for the Biology class has been very exciting. Dissecting was one of the main events of the year. Some of the victims of these amusing experiments were small crayfish, earthworms, grasshoppers, and squid. Each one had to be dissected and the organs identified. The class also observed and compared octopus, leaches, and worms. Mendel's pea plant the Elo-dea Cell, and glucose models were also studied. One other very interesting matter studied was how genetics is used and how it works. In addition to learning these various fascinating things, the life cycle of the Aurelis, a type of jelly fish, was also studied. One nice thing about this class is the many living creatures in the classroom. They include turtles, fish, birds, salamanders, spider eggs, and many green plants. That is totally gross! What's next????? It's in there somewhere. 21
