Discontinued in 1929 from lack of funds, the Rambler was revived in 1938 by Mary McCutcheon Hofsess and William A. Harri-man. 1956 marks the twentieth edition. BROWN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL B.C.H.S., which serves entire Brown County, is located on Route 24. The enrollment if approximately 295 pupils. Our school has sixteen classrooms, a library and studyhall, a gymnasium, and a home economics room. The halls are lined with lockers to accommodate each student. The gymnasium is in the center of the building with the classrooms built a-round it. The rooms under the bleachers are used as storage space for equipment etc. The football field, equipped with lights, is on the east side of the building. The baseball field is on the south side of the building. On the east is a large parking area. Our campus, on the north, is landscaped with evergreens. 2

DEDICATION We, the Rambler staff of 1956, dedicate this edition of the Rambler to Nina C. Hammond who has sincerely devoted her time to the betterment of our school. Mrs. Hammond is known for her keen interest in our welfare, her cheerful willingness to sacrifice time and effort for all students and faculty. 4
