Our Physical Education Department doubled to meet the increased needs of our larger student body this year. The first intramural sport underway this year was football. This football season will go on record as one of our finest. It was full of excitement and fun for participant and spectator alike. XY!ornen's volleyball, tennis, handball and paddle ball also came in our first semester at junior college. Intramural basketball was the topic of many conver- sations at the beginning of the second semester. Ex- citing, well-played games were the rule rather than the exception. Softball for both men and women students will come later in the semester. Because of the yearbook deadline date the winners of both of these sports will be covered in next year's book. The date February 21st will go down in junior col- lege athletic history, for on that date the junior col- lege's intercollegiate athletic program was approved. Next year the junior college will enter into the Florida junior College Athletic Conference wars. Although those of us who are sophomores will prob- ably never see the junior college team in action we can be proud of the progress that our school has made. Yes, as in other fields, it has been a busy year in athletics. lntramural Football ALL CAMPUS TEAM Fin-.sr Roux' Dick Relick, Ed Walker, Eddie Dee, Pat Canarazzi, Al Erp,Ken Zourro.
