Class Histor It was a grand and glorious thing that happened in the fall of l9h8, for it was then that the class of '52 made its debut into the Brooten High School. Our class started out with thirty three pupils and has now dwindled down to twenty one. We started our Freshman year witha bang. Ralph, Yvonne, Chester, Darrell, Jeanette, and Walbert joined our mighty class. We all awaited nervously for the dreadful initiation. After because it was really more fun than we had our Annual Homecoming Float Near the end ofthe school term, that some of us were waitresses We came to school for our mates had left Elwood Danielson us, and during left our class it was over, we were very much relieved, anything else. A little later in the fall Contest. We were happy to win third prize. Junior-Senior Banquet was held. This meant waiters. the and Sophomore year to find that five of our class- the year Stanley Engle, Willard Kirckof, and year was delayed because of our school enlargement program. our year in many ways. Our activities were cut to a minimum, and even Homecoming was postponed until a later date. Joanne Fauskee, Kenny Terhaar, and Bruce Anderson were chosen Homecoming attendants. Before Thanks- giving we picked our class rings. In the spring we gave a class play, NThat Crazy Smith Family.N The main highlight of the year was the Junior-Senior Ban- quet, the theme was, UHitch Your Wagon To a Star.n Donna Glieden rejoined our Our Junior This transformed class. In our Senior year coming Queen and King. in spite of the rain as second touchdown. This JOBIIII6 Anna transferred to Sauk Rapids We are proudof John Fauskee and Kenny Terhaar were chosen as Home- Our homecoming game was a thrill from start to finish we Buc'd the Hornets from Raymond 26-20 with a last- year Florence Jacobson and Anna Marie Jarnot left usg High School. Te Brake, Bruce Anderson, and Emmett Judge as they are the only ones who attended the Brooten High School since first grade. We regret that our senior spring activities cannot be recorded because the annual will be sent to press before they are presented.
