Last year, in a tenth anniversary issue, the Citadel staff paid tribute to the pioneering students and faculty of Broome Tech. This year we look ahead to the next decade and dedicate the 1959 yearbook to the students who will succeed us and to the bright promise which is theirs. During these years the Class of 1959, as loyal alumni, will watch with pride the growth of the College. What can we foresee in the next ten years? Cer- tainly, a tremendous increase in the number of students. Necessarily, new curriculums such as graphic arts and nursing education to meet the needs of the greater number of students and of the community. Obviously, a growing campus with a General Education-Mathematics-Physics Building, a Business Education Building, dormitories, and expanded athletic facilities. Symbolic of the an- ticipated growth and maturity of the College are the young saplings, which now, standing with the aid of supports, will then be strong, thriving, heav- ily foliaged trees. As prospective alumni, we pledge ourselves to join with the students, faculty and the community to make this dream come true.
