From a hopelessly burning building to an improvised city establishment to the promise of a beautiful new campus with improved buildings and curriculum--so is the train of events witnessed by Broome County Techni- cal Institute during the past three years, With this 1954 issue of the Citadel, our little train is gathering speed for its final and successful climb toward full attainment of its goal. ASH As the school year of 1954 chugs into a siding, a familiar figure is seen at the throttle of the Medical and Technical Office Assistant train, She is Miss Neva Ash - to her we dedicate the 1954 Citadel, Our Motto, ‘‘Knowledge and Proficiency,’’ certainly has been manifested in and by Miss Ash, Perhaps the greatest single characteristic of her success is fr iendliness, All problems brought to Miss Ash are fully understood and counseled, Personal guidance of this type is hard to surpass, As the ’54 train pulls out into the world, we leave behind our college days, but never can we for- get Miss Neva Ash - teacher, friend and counselor,
