We are merely the players, playing out the role assigned to each in the play. Our role is designed so that those following us will be able to learn and grow from our experi- ences over these past twelve years. We remember these times with fondness. The lr. Sr. and our senior trip to Fort Lauderdale are two of the happiest yet most exhausting memories we have of our time at Brookwood. Growing with the smiles of victory and the tears of defeat, we have finally reached the last act of the play. The time of decision has come, and we must choose between col- leges and careers. As the curtain falls on graduation night, we will be leaving one play for another - where we will start with the role of stagehand, hoping to achieve our dreams of being the next SIHIS. .,.mml,2m6YaW.1.Rh.zmnslr Ba !l KU WWW Bl mi Brad Alexander SENIOR ACTIVITIES Beta Club: NHS, President Football: Basketball: Baseball: Tennis Jamie Luckie Student Government, President: Key Club: Model Airplane Club: Key Club, President: Class President: Science Club NHS: Senior High Service Award Mike Bernier Football: Baseball: Student Government: Turtle Club Rhett Butler Football: Tennis: Key Club Linda Chancey Drill Team: Softball: Calliope: Annual Staff: Art Club Brian Chason Chess Team: Tennis: Basketball John Crew Basketball: JI. Juniors must possess these same qualities, for the year of the eleventh grade is not an easy one. Much work is done in preparation for the senior year and college. SAT tests are given for the first time and decisions are having to be made. An energy crisis, although evident throughout the nation, was not present among our class. We sold ice cream, had a car wash, held a slave day, and sold delicious baked goods to raise money for our Jr. -Sr. dance. Through much effort and hard work, we have made this an enjoyable and prosperous year. We are looking forward to taking over the role of leaders in the year of 1978 . We have spent time making money by putting on a halloween carnival and taking over the ice cream business from the Junior Class. We also wrote and performed a play on Mythology that we really enjoyed doing. Our role has been an exciting one, and we are now prepared to become the players of the junior class. Permanent records now record any slip we make. We are no longer able to depend on our elders to teach us step by step. Although the role of a young adult is not as easy to play as we thought, in junior high we newcomers to high school enjoy learning our parts. We have all made new friends, and some of us have even fallen in love for the first time. We are looking ahead at the next three years with anticipation. A giant step into Junior High from the sixth grade brought, along with new experiences, new responsibilities for us to learn to handle . Among these were getting to class on time , learning to push through crowded halls, and fighting for a top locker. However as we were really growing up, these were not such big problems. Publishing a yearbook is an enormous task, and the- business staff is concerned with the money-raising projects. They sponsored the sweetheart contest and had fun with a gigantic, mouth-watering salad bar. Most of the creative staff's time, how- ever, was spent frantically trying to meet publishing deadlines and badgering the photographers for more pictures. But it is all worth it when the finished product comes out, because the staff has a lot of fun producing the yearbook. 78 ' W STU NT ARTISTS The remnants of the 1975 State Championship' football team weren't, according to the critics' predictions, capa- ble of producing a winning season in 1976. But, by some miracle, Coach Smith put together a football team that won Region 1A and headed for the South Georgia playoff. It took every one of the players on the 33-man team to attain this degree of success. The Brookwood Warriors of 1976 proved that they could reach the ultimate victory in the region with a relatively young team guided by the leadership of the talented upperclass- men. r X ' - ET W yuxmg, 1 . We will always remember her. Juniors Lasi Fling Furnish For Seniors The Class of '7 8 showed flabergasted prom-goers that they were able to create a wonderland - a Saturday in the Park. As students danced to the familiar sound of Paradise Lost and ate goodies that were prepared, they all agreed that the wicked juniors had outdone s l i it themselves. As the memory book reminded us, the party was a wonderful 1ast fling as the Seniors pre- pared to move on, and the Juniors prepared to move up. 5 sg QE , H f ff 4 ,, .Q Q Q W4 wa ., Qi, 8- gr dk . g K ,K Z FAREWE LL - L l 4 I E STARS A E I O SENIOR SUPERLATIVEQ L to R: Janet Sellers, Jeff Jarrett, Hill Smith, Rand Malone, Brad Alexander, Robin Perry.
