An Impossible Dream? The interested parents had their first meeting in November of 1969. This was the begin- ning. In May and June of last year, our first building began really to take shape, when the steel arrived, the network of plumb- ing, air conditioning, and heating equipment followed. The faculty had its first meet- ing in June of 1970, and Brook- wood obtained its charter on February 23, 1970. The first day of school was Tuesday, September 8, for orientation, registration, and purchasing of texts and materials.
