It has enough classrooms for grades one through six, kindergarten and some for expansion. There are rooms for the music and home economics departments. There is also a new and larger cafeteria which is used by all grades. Fire drills are a common occur- ence at most schools and Brook- ville is no exception. They oc cur about once a month, some- times with a notice beforehand and sometimes no warning at all. Perhaps there is only one time that the school is emptied fasterg that is when the final bell of the day rings. i Freshmen H E fa , ii y - i .la ry f Egfr? Rita Baxter had quar- reled with her boyfriend so when she planned a slumber party for the weekend her parents were gone, the boys decided to take advantage of the situation. Fred and Leroy dressed up in sheets to scare the girls without knowing that a real prowler was in the neighborhood. Of course, the prowler pick- ed the Baxter home to hide out. Before the play ends Fred catches the prowler and he squares things with Rita so that the play ends on a happy note. This year our track team received much recognition for their outstanding performances. In some of the top meets of the state, the Blue Devils placed high in the final point standings. This was due to many things, but mainly it was the result of hard work and the desire to win. The team lost many dual and triangular meets because of the small number of boys on the teamg however, in the top meets where quality and not quantity are important, the Blue Devils rated high. Our track team of 1959 deserves much praise and credit for the fine way in which they have repre- sented our school. 8 . I me -ff I -2 ' g ' i if 3 6 Q Fifi 4 ,. X 2 A f 1' fi?
