Librarians: Locksmiths Of Library Frances Benninger Mary Long Betty Elza Librarian Librarian Librarian Coordinator The Librarians are the locksmiths of the school library. Often a student wishes to unlock some great treasure of knowledge but does not have the key. The Librarians provide him with the key by explaining and demonstrating the use of such things as the card catalogue, the vertical file, almanacs, and reference books. After the librarians have taught him these things, the student can gain infinite wealth in knowledge. Mrs. Jackson and Mr. Rockey solve an A.V. problem A.V. Is School Nerve Center The Audio-Visual Department is the school’s Mechanical nerve center. They keep all the teaching equipment running, take and develop pictures, prepare tapes and filmstrips, and record and broadcast their own programs. Without the A.V. department, we would have to revert to the dull textbook method of learning. John Rocky A.V. Coordinator Frank Loncharic 23

It covers such topics as Geography, History, Sociology, Government, and Economics. Each one of these is useless alone but together they are essential for everyone today. We must know where we are, how we got there, who helped us, what we must do to stay there and how we can better ourselves.
