BROOKVILLE AREA JOINT HIGH SCHOOL BROOKVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA ALMA MATER We sing to Brookville High School. The high school on the hill. The name that spurs us onward And makes our senses thrill—Hail! We'll ne'er forget our classmates, Our happy high school years. We raise our voice in hearty cheer To the school each one reveres. We pray that time will greet us As ever kind and strong; Forever we'll be loyal And sing our joyful song—Hail! When from the field we wander, When youth has passed us by, E'en dien with fleeting breath We'll praise our dear old Brookville High. —Marie Faber FOREWORD When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man. Varsity team members practice hard in preparation for future games. 25 The studious Typing II girls are Mr. Hawk’s favorites. SCHOOL LIFE The Top Hats ready their instruments for action. The varsity football players throw a beautiful block! The home economics students busy themselves preparing a vital portion of our lunch. 26 The seniors worked hard this year on their research papers. Brookville returns a punt at New Bethlehem. A hot lunch is just the thing to see one through the afternoon. SCHOOL LIFE Mr. Doverspike gives students vocational guidance and advice. 30 The double laboratory periods in chemistry class are interesting and informative. 31 SCHOOL LIFE Some artists offer their criticism. 32 SCHOOL LIFE Mr. Neuhard directs the Tophats, the B.A.J.H.S. dance band. The student teachers from Clarion State Teachers' College meet to map their strategy. 33 This is Brookville's version of Industry on Parade. Chemistry students compare results after an experiment. 36 37 The local members of county chorus meet in the music room to practice. SCHOOL LIFE Junior Varsity cheerleaders think about fu -ture victories. Thisisa jam session in the literal sense of the word. 39 A ball out of bounds produces an abrupt about face. UNDERCLASSMEN 40 As the seniors graduate this year, their position of importance is passed down to the underclassmen. It is hoped that as the underclassmen climb upward on the ladder of learning, they will uphold the high standards which have been set by the Class of 1958.
