You begin As mere children, And start your slow climb upward. Grade school, high school, a Graduation exercise — all A part of your own life. Then comes the time when You must choose your pathway— And, whether it be sunny and bright, or Dull and dreary, your pathway Cannot be changed once it is chosen. Yes, this life is yours to do with as you please; Your life is a pathway of many things, and Everything you do—right or wrong—adds Another turn to it. Then, as you near the end of your climb, You may turn around and look back upon your pathway And see your moments of sunshine, sorrow, and Bliss; your pathway may soon end, and Another will begin, so take one last Look behind you and realize the value of “Your Pathway.” —Betty JEAN HoLianp Crass oF ’65
