-OREWORD It is with great pride and happiness that the Senior Class and the Buzzer Staff of °56 bring to you, the student body, this twenty- ninth edition of THe Buzzer. It has been our endeavor to give you the best annual our school has ever published. We hope that you will enjoy it now and will cherish it with fond memories in the future. ie ANN DRUMHELLER Student Government President Dear Students, It has been a great privilege and pleasure to work with the Student Council, the student body, and the faculty in promoting the objectives of the Student Co-operative Association. Throughout its program of work the SCA has tried to emphasize construc- tive growth and to promote better citizenship. The members of the SCA congratu- late those students who qualified for “Citizen of the Week” arid “Citizen of the Month.” The Student Council belongs to you—the students. It is a democratic organization which participates in the government of the school. It is the resporsibility as well as the privilege of every student to take an active part in the government of our high school. The chief aim of the SCA is to promote better citizenship, thus preparing each of us for the life of an active citizen in our great democracy. A factor equally important as individual responsibility is social responsi- bility, which signifies that interest in the group is placed above that of self. When we reach the place where we are guided by constructive group at- titudes rather than by rules, we shall have made real progress. For this goal we are striving. A co-operative student body alone will insure the permanence of the Student Council and the realization of its highest ideal. Sincerely yours, ANN DRUMHELLER.
