The purpose of the Future Homemakers of America in Brookville High School is to promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfaction of homemakingg to emphasize the importance of worthy home membership, to encourage democracy in the home and community life and to promote international good will. The club emblem consists of a house supported by two hands symbolizing that the future homes of America is in the hands of its youth. Their colors are red and white, symbolic of youth and homelife. Their flower is the red rose, which stands for a vibrant, glowing health, which contributes to happiness in the home. Their motto is Toward New Horizons. It expresses the purpose of the organization.
