WE HOME ECONOMICS Kathleen: I never knew that Home Economics could be so much fun, learning how to cook so many dif- ferent foods and how to plan your meals. Susie: Learning how to set the table has helped me a lot. Inever could remember which side the glass went on, Billy: Frying foods is not unhealthy as some people think, if they just do it right. Knowing this will surely help me when I'm out of school. SHOP Don: Why do we have to repair school furniture in a shop class? Larry: Iguess we'rebeingprepared for life. Charles: What do you mean by that? Dave: He means that everybodyhas chairs, and often we can savemoney by repairing them ourselves. Mr. Davis: I think you can learn more by seeing what other people are doing and understand more easily the world affairs. Judy: History is a very interesting subject, and the News Week reels make it easier to study and even fun, too. ..,,, --t,,-.- ...,..,.. g U.S. HISTORY Mary: In the southeastern states farming is more important than in the northeastern states. Why is this true? Mrs, Jonas: The map shows there is more level land along the Atlantic Coast in the southern part of the United States than in the northern part Naamon: Since the land of the northeastern states was not well suited to growing crops, other in- dustries developed. GEOGRAPHY Nancy: How would you locate Brook- ville on the globe? Mr. Btmz: Brookville is found on the 390 North latitude and 850 West longitude. Janice: It is easy to find almost any location on the globe with the help of latitude and longitude.
