Each day she plans effective library sessions and helps the school in countless other ways. JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION Brookville Elementary is an integral part of the Jefferson County Board of Education, the largest suburban school svstem in Alabama. The School Board consists of five citizens, elected by popular vote, to serve staggered, six-year terms as the decision and policy-making body. The Board operates under the committee svstem to approve educa- tional programs, new construction projects, and employ the necessary person- nel to effectively operate the school svstem. Mrs. Robert V. Cwin is chairman of the Administration Co mittee and Mr. Jack E. Brymer, Sr., is co-chairman. Mr. Bill Mewbourne is chairman of the Support Operations Committee and Mr. Chester Cowan, Jr. is co-chairman. The president of the School Board, Mrs. Betsv Faucette, serves as ex-officio member of each committee. Dr. John J.
