Behavior C ount s Too On June 9th, the Class of 1959 will walk across the stage to receive our diplomas This event will mark the finish of our high school career It will not, however, mean that we are through with what we have accomplished at high school We will be leaving behind us a complete set of records con taining our ranks, abilities, personal traits, and personal remarks of our teachers that they have placed on file for future references Yes, we are leaving the high school, but our achievements or lack of them will follow us for the rest of our lives During the past year, an unusually large number of requests for information on graduates have come from prospective employers It has been, in some instances, my J0b to copy the prospective employer I wonder, when I look at those records, if some of the previous graduates would have not studied harder and been more co operative while in high school had they known that a transcript of their complete high school records might someday decide whether or not they would be able to qualify for a certain job that they desired. In a small school such as ours there is usually a rapid turnover of teachers If such is the case, the chances are that the graduate of a few years ago will be merely a folder in the files to the teachers of today This means that the teachers, not knowing the student, cannot add a personal note to the transcript in favor of that person They must tell exactly what is in the folder, be it good or bad It is too late for the seniors to do much improving, but the underclassmen still have time to improve I am sure that in some way each of us could improve ourselves As we seniors look back over our four years at Brooksville High, have we made good records to carry with us for the rest of our lives? Let us hope tm we have and that those coming after us will make even better ones 'ht the information found in their records and to forward it to
