Membership in the Honor Society is the highest honor given to any high school stu- dent, Eligible candidates must have completed three se- mesters of high school work with a B average and not more than one C. Mainly because a new frontier has not only been sighted but has been penetrated. We have often said NThe sky is the limitn, now we might be able to say that there is no limit. We are on the threshold of man's conquest of space which has no limits as we think of them. As adults going out from the shelter of your homes and school, you are entering the frontier of your life. This frontier also will have its share of hardships, the trail may be rough. In penetrating the frontier of life, do not accept the concept of your limits but try to pass beyond them. To illustrate, I quote Theodore Roosevelt, who in 1891, said, UOur country calls not for the life of ease, but for the life of strenuous endeavor. The twentieth century looms before us big with the fate of many nations. If we stand idly by, if we seek merely swollen, sloth- ful ease, and ignoble peace, if we shrink from the hard contests where men must win at the hazand of their lives and at the risk of all they hold dear, then the bolder and stronger people will pass us by and will win for themselves the domination of the world.N Very truly yours, ,QI-J John R.
