They repre- sent the nurturing of all our varied talents, an en- deavor not only for intellectual but for spiritual and physical perfection also. This is a complete process, not a fragmentary one, a development of the whole man-morally, bodily, and intellectually-for what is a body without a soul? Equal emphasis is put on all phases of school life, the classroom, the chapel, the playing field. The phases are like pearls which are evenly polished and conscientiously str L1r1 g, by discipline and training to make the final product, All care is taken, however, sincc these pearls cannot he restrung. SANITAS, SCIENTIA, SANCTITAS STANDS FOR FOUR YEARS OF MUTUAL SACRIFICE. If the student has the initiative and the judgment to gain the merits of this sacrifice, he will be assured of success. VVhat could be more Htting and proper than to have as our seal the symbol of our own temporal and spiritual success? - wk Ni uxuvctx SX xy S ' A XXXYNN Q xxX 10 QXxx Q xxXxXxt XXY 'K,XxXn TNQ xx 5 QSDMQM ffm To a Catholic gentleman who has contributed so muchgfto our four ygargzat Prep, whgihas given us aniieducation we Tcould never by merely reading textbooks or by doing our daily assignments. We have been trained to represent, in every way, the ideal of the school, which is summed up very briefly on the school seal: Sanitas, Scientia, Sanctitasf' Although at times we may have doubted it, our days at the Prep have been the best days of our lives. It is here that we have first been treated as young men, and it is also here that we have first seen our- selves growing up. These days will never be forgotten or equalled. They are the initial, and perhaps, the most important training for our jobs as the future leaders of the country. There will be some of us in every profession in every part of the country. Wherever we are, we will be marked by the traits which have become second nature to usg these traits which have become so ein- bedded in us by every day experience and practice that they will never be quenched. They are Health, Knowledge, and Holiness which are stated on the school seal, and are indicative of a successful leader in this troubled world. With the help of God, we will be successful in what- ever undertaking we may choose, and will reach our eternal reward, heaven. l J C, STANLEY THOMAS ADAMKIEVVXCL 510 Leunurd Street.
