In our sophomore year with Mr Les-he Douglas and 'VIr Paul Bye as sponsors, we thoroughly initiated tne freshmen Dressed for the theme of Oriental Gardens we were thrilled to serve at the Jr 8a Sr Ban quet With the arrival of our class rings we felt a spark of hope Our class trip to Lake Keomah was the climax to a year of fun frolic and some studying Shirley Boyd and Jim Kies enrolled during our sopho more year and Carolyn James left us as Juniors Mrs Ruby Eyestone and Mr Leslie Douglas assisted us in fund raising 3C'f.lV1t1E.'S Among th n was a pancake supper the Christmas dance entitled A Winter Waltz and the class play Under the direction of Wir 'Vlax Palmer the play entitled Down to Earth was a great success Dutch Treat was the theme of our Jr 84 Sr Banquet and the Deep Purple Orchestra played ,nance music Our class trip was spent at Lake Keomah Joan Doty Marvin Doty and Sandra VIcKeag Joined the class and Mary Jane Good rch left tore taken by Apgar Studio in Marshalltown and our c i s play was entitled Are Teachers Human? T raise money vue sold refreshments at ballgames and had a pancake supper bake sale oar wash a.nd a sock nop 'VIary Niemann Alice Rhinehart Jean Taylor Sharon Otto and Larry Wheeler left 1n our senior year The Juniors entertained us at the Jr 3: Sr Banquet 'Hawaiian Cruise was the theme At last the wonder ful excitement of graduation week and the fun packed class trip to the Ozarks' After thirteen years those who made it together are Earl Carpenter Jan Dale Sondra Foster John Law on Judy 'Vlanatt Gary Norris Jim Newman Mlarilyn Rhinehart and William Rhinehart To quote our motto We hate crossed the bay the ocean lies before us No matter what is ahead in our lives well remember our wonderful school daze in BHS , I 1 .
