The time has come, as it must, for the class of '660,' to leave Brooklyn High School. We will always remember it with deep appreciation and af- fection. Our class may claim a number of commendable distinctions. We were the first to use the facilities of the new ultramodern gymnasium. The class of 4'60', is the largest in Brooklyn annals and the first to graduate with over one hundred members. We helped to bring Brooklyn the first football cham- pionship since the sport originated at our school in 19412, the year of our birth. Scholastically we have been rated tops. During our freshman year our class began to be recognized for its ability. Our members took active part in all activities, academic and extracur- ricular. We were the first class to sponsor a fresh- man dance. Our sophomore year will long hold memories for all. Eight members of our class were inducted into the National Honor Society. Everoyne took active part putting on the annual sophomore dance. Clubs, sports and dramatics saw the result of our efforts. Our junior year was a busy but pleasant one. Members worked at the concession stand during football and basketball games to raise money for our treasury. We put on the highly successful Sadie Hawkins dance. All proceeds from our efforts went to the prom and banquet fund. It was our duty, a very pleasant one, to provide the Class of 1959 with a spectacular prom and banquet. This we did and created an enjoyable experience for U fl all. We were the last class to put on the traditional banquet. This year, our last, has been quite appropriate. Our members dominated all fields of sports, music, and dramatics, and clubs. Our able leadership has set an example for all underclassmen. A larger percentage of our class will be going on for further education than ever before. We wish to thank all our sponsors and teachers of past years for their advice and guidance. As we leave we wish as much luck and success as it was our fortune to possess, to all other graduates of Brooklyn High School. President: C. Shafer, Vice-President: M. Abbott, Secretary: L. Latavish, Treasurer: Bob Tarlosky.
