. hi MR. J. ROGER HOWE Principal of High School Mr. Nieman: As Research Coordinator, Mr. Nieman's duties included preparing informa- tion ior seniors who intend to go to college. He presented many interesting surveys which proved invaluable in determining the selec- tion. Also, he gave many seniors guidance in chosing a college. Another job Was that of head of the Jour- nalism department. For the first time Brooklyn students viewed their school's happenings in the Brooklyn News. All the students in his class gained valuable knowledge in the art of handling a newspaper. Congratulations and the best of everything to the Class of 1953 from a Brooklyn '6Fresh- man Principal. If the annual of this year is any indication, we expect some outstanding people to develop from this group. This is the first class to graduate since Sputnik and the Explorer began to circle the earth. Amazing things continue to take place every day. These events seem to set goals for us we have to reach. Shoot for the moonn terests you most.
