UN Q M., :L Eighth Grade History Our eighth grade class started school in the gymnasium of the Central Building with Mrs. Phyllis Goings as our teacher. Cf the group that started in September of l9h6 only Douglas Wright, Roger Robinson, Karl Baer, Frances James, Vietta Lindaman, Martha Wolf, Roger Messim r, Coleen NcGriff, Judy Dilworth, Carolyn Leyh, Rich- ard Taylor, and Lois and Lorraine Schaible have been in continuous membership. A record dance and spring party have been the social affairs of this year. We are very interested in basketball and many of the boys played on the 7th and th grade team. The girls supported their efforts with Martha Wolf, Judy Dilworth, Charlotte Kelly, and Marietta Taylor leading the cheering section. James Langer, Holly Bable, and Marilyn Siegfried were class- mates of ours but left during the year. We are proud of the NMellow Tonesn a vocal group composed of Martha Wolf, Judy Dilworth, Charlotte Kelly, and Coleen McGriff. Their speciality is sweet harmony and they are willing to give their talent for school and community activities.
