The basketball season ended up with a seven win and nine loss record as the Eagles were tied for seventh place in the league. The Eagles ended the season when it lost to Manchester in the district finals at Mich. Center. The Eagles will lose three seniors from the varsity: center, Ed Mekog guard, Ed Krause, and forward, Dale Burwell. Football The 1950 Football Season was a far cry from what you might call good. The Eagles did not turn in a single victory as they tied two and lost five of their scheduled seven games. The big problem was the lack of material as only eighteen candidates reported for practice most of the year. This left our new coach, Merle Cosgrove, on the spot in his first adventure as a coach. The Eagles' outlook for next year is a brighter one with just a little dent in the starting line-up. They will miss the services of Ed Krause, Ed Meko, Charles Brighton, and Dale Burwell.
