Nan J. Feldman Happiness makes up in height for what it lacks in length. Frost Thomas A. Ferguson Meet the new boss, Same as the old boss. P.T Four short years. Last year Choir and Ensemble performed at three of the elementary schools, the second being Lawrence, my esteemed alma mater. There were six members of the Ensemble who also went to Lawrence, Including my brother and three of his closest friends, all seniors. It was quite a sight to see those four, who were on the verge (it was April) of completing a whole segment of their lives, perform beautifully for their former teachers who had seen them leave four years ago as children and now saw them return as young adults. Just a short while ago they were so small and young, and all of a sudden they were there, in formal dress, handsome men and beautiful women, radiating maturity, self-confidence and poise. It all brought home to me what education really means, in four years at Brookline High school each of these kids had found his or her niche, the things that they were really good at, and they had latched onto those activities and grown and matured with them and drawn out the excellence that had been dwelling inside of them all along. Think about it. we ' ve all done the same thing, found a place for ourselves here, and it has meant a lot. The teachers — they watch the process unfold, they facilitate it. High School is the place where you begin to find out who you are. Education in itself is that entire process, one that hopefully never ends. To think that we won ' t be a part of BHS next year, that the everything will continue to function without us, is very scary because for the last few months we have been very important people in a very important institution. Whatever we have learned though, we will take with us when we leave, and that is what makes it all worthwhile. Patricia Ferris Harrison A. Fitch Jr. •Chip” Much learning does not Teach a man to have intelligence. D Park BC: J,M,S,K,A HAPPY Dashi Flanagan Only the ideas that we actually live are of any value. — H. Hesse Edward F.
