This high school is people. Real, tangible, moving, growing people: their feelings make life what it is. But good or bad, high school life belonged to us, deeply affected us. It was us! It cer- tainly didn’t lack moments of intense concern, belief and ac- tion. We remember a look, a smile, shouting voices, stomping feet; a celebration of life. The hours of working whether writing with a pen, or studying Spanish or building an engine. Thus for your pleasure and fulfillment the intent of this yearbook has been to create for the special owner a catalyst to a kind of his- tory of the year. The 1972 Murivian contains many different sometimes extremely personal points of view in order to present the spirit of our high school year. We wish to give special thanks to Robert Selame, Kathy Ham and John Lamb in appreciation of the effort on behalf of this year’s Brookline High School Murivian. 8

-The Senior, perhaps, does not love the school. Rather, he is attached to it. The school -has be- come a part of his life that cannot be. ignored or denied. Almost against his will, the Senior has been sucked into a vast maze of names, faces and events which have impressed themselves indelibly upon his mind.
