She is the enthusiast who actually looks forward to spending a weekend correcting thirty massive term pa- pers. She is the non-conformist who suggests that her students major in Sanskrit because of the good job opportunities it pro- vides. Miss Busse is the good sport who advises a club even though she knows it involves getting up at five A.M. on cold weekend mornings. But most important, she is the woman who treats each of her students as a special and significant person. For these things, we admire and respect her. To you. Miss Busse, we dedicate this book. Dedication faces, objects, places, beauty — that we see. but take for granted every day. 5 Suddenly, in a picture. we realize that we ve seen it each day for four years. an open locker becomes meaningful because School Administration Dr. Ferdy J. This organization is made up of members from all four houses, many of whom are students in the Art Department. The activities include exhibits, movies, and trips to museums and art school. The Mental Health club offers its members the opportunity to both learn and serve. Members give parties for the mentally retarded and mentally dis- turbed, work in special programs at Mass. Mental Health Center, and en- tertain the elderly in local nursing homes. Tours to places such as Fern- aid School, Metropolitan State Hospi- tal, and the Worcester Biologic Center form a part of the club’s activities. Group discussions on such topics as the emotional difficulties of adoles- cence, the drug problem, or the rela- tionship between poetry and the emo- tions provide interesting meetings for the members.
