Thr TA T1 I DB Aritutttra SENIOR PLAY Too Many Relatlves ON May 10 the senlor play Too Many Relatlves was well presented by a cast of characters selected from the sophomore Junlor and sen1or classes The memb rs of the cast d1d an excellent DISCS of work 1n actxng then character roles The cast of characters were as follows Mabel Saw awge Harry Sax age Gracle Ex ans Jasper Wllklns Mrs Donnelly Officer Butterfield Ermmtrude Evans Otto Savage Smokey McGee Ethel Allen Lyndon Conarv Jacquellne Redman Warren Chatto Rebecca Taple, Albert Brld es Faye Flje Basll Frlend Chester Webber As the curta1ns are drawn Har1'y and Mabel two newlyweds are talklng about a story Harry 1S worklng on They are also Ehlllklllg about the1r second ann1versary for they have been marrled two weeks STUDENT GOVERNMENT After decldlng to have a qulet evemng at home when slster Harry starts to work on h1s story the doorbell rlngs It lS Mabels Gracle who wants to borrow the1r apartment to get her bashful beau Jas per to propose GFHCIC unable to make Jasper propose lS 1nterrupted by Oflicer Butterfield sellmg tlckets to a raffle Mrs Donnelly the landlady says that the Savages have been trylng to get her rent and 1f they d1dnt have the money for the rent ln the mornlng she would have the law on them Aunt Ermlntrude arrxves safely Mab l has told her before that they had a mald So at the last mmute Harry calls the em ployment agency to get one Just before Ermlntrude comes Lucy the mald who was a poor maxd due to the lack of ex p9I'l8IlCC comes to the apartment That evemng Harrys Uncle Otto from whom he had been gettxng hrs money also comes for a v1s1t Otto d1sapproves ot ma rxage very much On see1ng Mabel he suspects somethmg and has to make belleve he lS SICK and that Mabel 1S h1s nurse Otto llke E mlntrude 1S deaf At thls t1me Smokey McGee a desperate cr1m 1nal escapes from Ja1l and the Savage apartment h1s h1deout and rules the apartment by threatenlng everybody that 1f they try anyth1ng funny they w1ll get hurt As the play ends we Hnd that Mabel and Harry have made out all rlght Mabel rewrote one of Harrys stories and recelved a lot of money Lucy who was supposed to be the mald was not at all She was an ass1stant edltor to a maga. zme that had been thlflklllg about buylng one of Harrys storles Just as Smokev dBC1d6S to k11l Harry Butterfield returns and takes Smokey CRDEIVC By g1v1nf' hlm to marry her Otto changes h1s m1nd about marr1age for he and Ermm trude declde to get marrxed Mrs Donnelly returns to get her money and decldes to forget the rent when Mabel tells her that she lS gomg to have a baby Much credlt IS due to the coach Mrs Ross THE first part of the sprmg we the pupxls o ganlzed a student government under the ausp1ces of our new prmclpal to help keep the school house and school grounds clean and neat and also to keep order dur1ng school hours Th1S organlza t1on cons1sts of three commlttees namely the L1brary Comm1ttee the Bu1ld1ng and Grounds Comm1ttee and the Executrve Comm1ttee The L1brary Comrmttee cons1sts of one senlor Eunlce Grey one Jumor Helame Allen one sophomore Russell Sm1th and one freshman and It IS the1r duty to keep the lxbrary clean and neat The Bu11d1ng and Grounds Comm1ttee 10 ' 1 ' Q ' 3 ' y . . .
