.Ji- 555518 There is a lot more to Chorus than meets the ear. Chorus l,lI,lII, and IV, all have one thing in common, work. To put on a decent concert, there must be hours of practice. The same songs are sung over and over again with a stop here and there for corrections. At last, when the performers and director get it together and have polished the arrange- ment to near perfection, they are ready to sing for the outside world. Most of the time, the Chorus here at B-C puts on a Great perform- ance! They work hard, andthe results, beauti- ful music, that fills the soul, is proof of it! The 1976 Miss Afro , Elizabeth Hy- drick, flashes a smile for her admirers. Club sponsor, Mrs. Randolph, awaits her cue for the music. Q 'W ?ES: 9f:' ..,- ff Hi.: 0003300.75238 The annual Miss Afro Pageant, sponsored by the Que' Pasa Club, was held on November 25, in the B.C. auditorium. A capacity crowd watched as ten girls, grades 9-12 competed in evening wear, and tal- ent. The evening climaxed as Wanda Smith, the Mistress of Ceremonies, announced the winner and runners up. Elizabeth Hydrick, a junior, was crowned Miss Afro '76. The 1976 Miss Afro Court FROM LEFT: lune Percell, Kathy Herlong, Elizabeth Hydrick, Karen Percell, Denise Horley. Renee Daniels displays her talent with a stirring Dramatic interpreta- tion. Mistress of Ceremonies for the pa- geant was 'Wanda Smith, a member of the Que Pasa Club.
