South Carolina has always been proud of it's world championship Pony and Colt League baseball teams. B.C. has always been fortu- nate that many of the boys on those winning teams went on to play for the Bearcat team. This season the quality showed, as the team posted a record that was the pride and joy of the sports program. During the regualr season, the Bearcats won sixteen games and lost only one, which was to Aiken. We made it into the state 4-AAAA play- offs. During these play-offs, some of the most exciting and most thrill- ing moments of the season took place. The Bearcats came away with the Upperstate Championship. Head Coach Don Simmons was sa- tisfied and proud of the team's ac- complishments. This team never quit. Even when it seemed that there was no hope for a victory, we came back and gotone. Sportsf53
