5 li cf Running'is a personal sport. lt takes time, effort, determination and pain. just how good one be- comes depends on what she puts into the sport. I've learned that there is no way to expect achieve- ment without an honest input, and even then, it doesn't come overnight. Cross country was an experience. It was fun, it was hard. At first, we ran a mile and thought we would die. Within two weeks were doing two and feeling ill. Gradually we worked up to three and it didn't feel too badly. When we got up to four we were really proud of ourselves. And then we could run five miles with no trouble at all. Well, only a few minor problems now and then.
