4 Z+f if .K . - ' it's a personal book ... it contains so many feelings and emotions - and talent too! It makes very good reading material. I can't believe that people would write if such beautiful things! The Laureate definitely is a personal book 'bi s-nf, wllwll .. . containing stories, poems, and artwork by students right here at Brookland Cayce. The works published are the best, for they are chosen by college professers and English majors. Miss McCaskill, head of the English Department, is the sponsor of this publication. Costing only 52.00 it's worth much, much more to many people. Miss McCaskiIl, one of the Laureate advisors, shares a laugh with co-editor Cindy Cupstid, while the other co-editor, Kim Franke, pictured below, concentrates on more ser- ious matters. FIRST ROW: C. Bearcat Business Many times the only people who receive credit for production of the annual is the editorial staff. Without efforts of another part of the yearbook staff, however, there could be no book. The busi- ness staff of the Bearcat devoted a portion of their summer to hours of ad selling to raise the needed funds to support the yearbook. The business staff is also respon- sible for conducting the sales cam- paign within the school. Thanks to their efficiency, the cost of the year- book remains the same from year to year. an x . 4 its judging by the expressions on Angie Parler, Laurie Sox and Carole Fleming's faces, sales must be good! t. FIRST ROW: Mrs. Hammond, Nancy Moore, Carole Fleming, Rosemary Cannon, Laurie Sox, Toni Wise, Nancy Allman, Terri Hammond. SECOND ROW: Elizabeth McCarthe, Denise Douglass, Kathy Rish, Glenda Montgomery, Angie Parler, Carol Fairhart, Cookie Holmes. 174fPublications
