On Fridays, the excite- ment could be felt in the air it was hard to concentrate on classwork when you were planning what you would do Friday and Saturday nights. Weekends were mini- holidays, when you could let go, relax, and have fun. Almost everyone took advantage of them. How did most B.C. students spend their weekends? Well, sports events were one way, The football and basketball games attracted overflowing crowds of students. Screaming, jumping, wild and crazy, the fans had some of the best times of their lives at those games! Attractions like the state fair were invaded on weekends by B.C. kids. Concerts were another favorite treat. Some of the most talked about were the Eagles, Beach Boys, and America, just to mention a few. And then there were the dates isn't love great! But perhaps the biggest weekend happenings were the parties and everyone knows there was no shortage of them this year! Weekends! What would we do without them? hrs V. They can be proud, knowing that their year 1976 was a very special one,indeed. ln keeping with the theme of Americas 200th birthday they tried to relate different facets of B.C. life to it.
