COMMENCEMENT-A TIME OF BEGINNING Time was when we as vibrant youth entered thy halls of learning To grow, to labor to reach that highest star, our cherished goal. Oftentimes we ha ve stumbled on the sharp stones of discourage- ment, opposition, and error But we arose each time to push on ward, guided by the concern and wisdom of parents, teachers, and friends. Now as we graduate we realike this must not be the end,' For this is a time of beginning, a time to meet the challenge of a new world throbbing with life. We hope for a meaningful place to hll, opportunities to meet, And success that is untarnished by the stain of injustice to another. Forgetting ourselves, we must 'go forth to serve - To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield. 4
