Publications Club is composed of the members of the Broboca and Bobcat staffs. The meetings. which were held the first Tuesday of each month. were arranged in such a manner as to include both educational meetings and meet- ings for fun. The officers for the year were: Elizabeth Fuller, presi- dent: Gene Cheever, vice president: Helen Durkee, secre- tary-treasurer. Advisers are Miss Ruth Helland and Mrs. Kathleen Nagle. Elizabeth Fuller, President Quill and Scroll is an in- ternational honorary society for those interested in jour- nalism. Members are chosen for an outstanding contribu- tion to the Bobcat or Bro- boca. Quill and Scroll members: Gene Cheever, Bob Nagle, Horace Fishback, Richard Nagle, Roger Smith, Loren Smith, Mary lane Holmen, Barbara Revell, Elizabeth Fuller, Shirley Rymerson.

Last year. under the editorship of Richard Nagle. W the Broboca won its second consecutive NSPA All- American rating and its first All-State rating from SDHSPA. Carol Gilkerson earned a superior rating for her dra- matic readings at the divisional declamation contest at Madison, December 5, qualifying her for the state contest, in which she won an excellent rating. Richard Nagle. in oratory. and Barbara Baker. in poetry, won excellent ratings. Helen Hansen received a good in the humorous division. During second semester, club members worked on ex- temp. debate, and original oratory.
