It is rather with a spirit of pride, gratefulness, and respect that the Seniors have selected Coach R. L Therrell for this honor. To all of us Coach has represented a symbol of hard work, genuine interest in the school and its activities, and above all, interest in its students. Therefore, for all of these reasons and others too numerous to name, we, the Class of I957, dedicate our l957 Ole Brook to Coach Bob Therrell . iii' is '7f ' tm X X -X , - 'l Q A . i , A 1 n hmm.. 4 eds 11 1 .T Asig rf Table of Contents -vnu. , il-, ' ,fn ft.. l Q 33.0 Title . . FROM THE CUXSS OF '57 No one can perfectly describe the wonderful climax that this final year has made upon our high school lives. As Seniors, we enioyed it to its fullest because B. H. S. has given us so much for which we are thankful: a fine faculty, a liberal education, lots of fun, and an opportunity to use our talents to excel in anything we decided to do. As Editors , we now write our greatest chapter in our book of life. But no finished work is complete without sympathetic help and guidance, so to our parents and teachers, we can truly say Thank You . Thus, as one chapter of our story is concluded, so must another be begun. And as we leave B. H. S. , we refuse to write 3O . We know the best is yet to come. 33 JUNIOR CLASS FEATURE EDITORS 4 ,llc Y! . .LY 'ts A fit!- , - , ,Ling ,fro-wr' JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS Lance Alworth, Vice President, Cary Yancey, Secretary-Treasurer, Gloria Wall, Reporter, Lem Hewes, President. The Junior Class has had a busy year, since the Thanksgiving game was played in Brook- haven. Before activity started in that direction, the class selected its rings--the most beautiful ever. They sold mums before Turkey Day, and on the great day they worked their fingers to the bone in the concession stands making money for the banquet. Then came spring and preparations for the banquet which proved the best ever. All in all, for the Class of l958, it's been a great year. HOMECOMING 1956 One of the most festive occasions at B. H.S. is its annual Homecoming. As a main high- light, it is enthusiastically awaited and equally as long remembered. On October 26, 1956, the Showboat, Cotton Blossom, came apuffin' around the bend to bring back the most pleasant of memories to all of those present at the Eighth Annual Homecoming. A very special tribute was paid to Miss Mamie Martin, and the honored classes were 1926, 1936, 1946, and 1956. After a highly entertaining program, there was a reception in the library for all alumni to enjoy. At 7:30 P.M., the coronation ceremony that took place on King Field. To add to the excitement, the B. H.S. Panthers were victorious over Pascagoula's Panthers. The Student Council added the perfect touch by sponsoring an after-game dance in the Activity Building which brought to a close an extremely successful Homecoming Day. 73 The Court ond Escorts Roll on Panthers' Ex Queen Will Ann rides in style.
