A strong root system furnishes nourishment for a flourishing tree. Like a tree, a student branches out into all fields of endeavor. These formative high school years deeply influence the student's direction and growth. Surely, we at Brookfield High have been fortunate. Later, as you leaf through these pages and re-live your high school days, may this picture grow in value and bring ioyful reminiscence for all the years to come. May you remember and cherish the challenges, accomplishments, and above all, the friends at Brookfield High. We, the Echo Staff, give to you, students and faculty, the 1958 Echo. After many rehearsals and hard Work, the sen- ior's play cast put forth a play which resulted in great suc- cess. This three act drama was centered around Dino Fal- caro, a typical iuvenile delinquent, who has iust been released from reform school. Influenced by a psychiatrist he makes up his mind to go straight, and later in the story finds himself a girlfriend. The excitement finally comes to an end, and everyone forgets that the old Dino Falcaro has come back to tovvn. Left to right: B. Kefurt, K. Kozarich, A. Schaffer, R. Ramsey. Left to right: A. With the help of four capable officers, President Rich Ramsey, Vice President Gary Wright, Treasurer Jeanette Wright, Secretary Gen Milanese, and Mr. Gar Aikens, Advisor, they put on a well received play. Acting, make- up, stagework, are a few of the many interests shared by this group. . L. Crisan, F. Paulenich, B. H099, M. Bortner, P. Horning, F. Bowman, J. James, S, Sop, S. Say, P. Feies, S. The Junior Class has again per- formed a wonderful three-act com- edy. This year it was e n t i t I e d Beanes for Breakfast. The Kent family was quite normal until the Beanes dropped in for breakfast. They upset a series of frauds that were going on between Mrs. Kent and Mrs. Beane through many years of correspondence. Congratulations are in store for the wonderful iob Mr. Gar Aikens has done in directing the play. As- sistant Directors were Paula Jurko and Mary Lou Cvelbar. fm? L. Crisan, B. Hogg, S. Say, F.
